Fite, Edward "Ted" Todd
79 of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on September 11, 2015. He was born on March 30, 1936, in Cambridge, MA, the elder of 2 sons to Richard L. and Doris (Todd) Fite. Raised in Lynn, MA, Ted attended and graduated from high school there. After high school, he attended Norwich Military University, graduating in 1958. He later earned his master's degree from Notre Dame University. Ted was a career Army officer as a Lt. Colonel, commanding a tank unit. He served in Vietnam, and was based at Ft. Knox, KY. After he retired from the Army, he became a history teacher. Ted was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and was an avid Boston red Sox fan. He also loved to travel, was an avid reader, but history, and military history was his passion. His step son John recently posted "This morning shortly after 6 am, my mother Joy Corey-Fite's husband Edward T. Fite, former career Army and respected history teacher born on the East Coast passed on. He was a father of 3, and met my mother several years ago, and married 8 years, was 79 at his passing. your understanding, prayers and support." Ted is survived by his wife of 8 years Joyce Corey-Fite; sons Stephen C Fite, Jeffrey Fite, Richard Fite; and his brother David Fite. Ted will be inurned in Connecticut. Mariposa Gardens is entrusted with arrangements.
